ShiftCharge is built to take that daily juggling away. It learns the pattern, checks the forecast, plans the charge, and keeps you in control without asking you to become the energy manager of your own house.

- Do I need to keep checking it?
- No. Once your battery and tariff are connected, ShiftCharge refreshes the plan each day and only needs your attention when you want to change a preference.
- Does it use my solar forecast?
- Yes. The plan leaves room for expected solar generation, so the battery is not blindly filled overnight when tomorrow should be sunny.
- Does it learn my household usage?
- Yes. ShiftCharge learns the shape of your normal demand so it can keep enough charge for the times your home usually needs it.
- What happens if something looks wrong?
- You stay in control. You can pause automatic changes, keep monitoring on, and use your normal inverter app whenever you need to.
- How much can it save?
- It depends on your battery size, tariff, solar, and household use. The aim is simple: buy less during expensive periods and make better use of cheap slots and your own solar.
- What happens when the paid plan starts?
- Beta accounts get the first 3 months free once the paid plan launches. After that, if it's not earning its keep, you have 30 days to ask for a full refund — no questions asked.
- My inverter isn't supported — what now?
- Get in touch. Growatt is the most-tested integration today; GivEnergy and Solis are in open beta. Sunsynk is next on the list, and beta testers with unsupported kit help us prioritise — drop a note via the community link and we'll let you know when yours lands.
- Does it work without an export tariff?
- Yes. If you're paid for export, ShiftCharge tries to earn you money by exporting at the right times. If you're not, it focuses on cutting your bill — using cheap import slots and your own solar to displace expensive grid use.
