Will it conflict with the SolisCloud app?

No. ShiftCharge writes slot 1 of the inverter's charge and discharge schedule. The SolisCloud app keeps working for monitoring and you can override or pause automation at any time.

Does it support local Modbus?

Not yet. The current integration uses the SolisCloud API so there's nothing to install on your home network. A local Modbus path is on the longer roadmap.

How ShiftCharge talks to Solis

ShiftCharge uses the SolisCloud API to read your inverter and battery telemetry and to set the timed charge and discharge windows that drive load shifting.

The Solis app and portal keep working alongside it — ShiftCharge writes the slot 1 schedule the inverter already supports, and you can pause automation at any time.

What you need

A Solis hybrid inverter on the new 6-slot firmware (firmware version ≥ AA55). If you’re on older firmware, update it via the SolisCloud app first.

A SolisCloud account with an API key and secret. Most users request these from their installer; some accounts can self-serve from the SolisCloud portal under Service Management → API Management.

A UK smart-meter time-of-use tariff (Octopus Agile, Cosy, Go, or compatible).

What "beta" means here

The integration is fully wired end-to-end and protects your inverter's EEPROM by reading the current slot state before every write — the same technique used by the established open-source Solis schedulers.

Beta is about coverage breadth: a handful of advanced read-back fields (charge-power-percent, the SOC ceiling registers) are deferred until we've verified them against more real-world hardware. Drift correction for those specific fields is degraded in the meantime.
